Marahau, Motueka and the Abel Tasman National Park

Nelson is the nearest city to Marahau and has a domestic airport that has regular departures to and from NZ’s main cities Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.

Motueka is the nearest big town to Marahau with a number of shops, cafes and a supermarket for you to buy any major supplies you may need before heading to the coast and Abel Tasman National Park.

Marahau (Windy Garden in Maori) is the gateway to the Abel Tasman National Park and The Barn is the nearest accommodation to the track. There are a number of excellent dine out options open in the busier months and a general store open all year round. The Barn also has basic supplies including beer and wine on-site.
