Set into the bank and overlooking the Tasman bay, whoever set up the Motueka Salt Baths have definitely picked a cool spot. It is kitted out with wooden decks for sunbathing, a playground, a picnic area, and even some BBQ facilities. The views can be awesome, especially around sunset with the tide right!

It’s a great spot to cool off on the way through Motueka, and really get a feel for the local way of life. A favorite spot for kids and adults alike.  The Toad Hall is just down the road for refreshments and lunch after woods. If you are keen to keep exploring or can smell a good photo op, then the infamous Janie Seddon Shipwreck is just up the road.

The Idea was initially crafted in the 1920s after a shark sitting spooked a few of the locals. After going through a few iterations over the last 100 years it is currently is a pretty function and useful state.
